M/s Maruthi Engineering Chennai approached IIT Madras for the design approval of 120m guyed masts.The Designs were supplied by M/s Maruthi Engineering Chennai.IITM Carried out an independent design checking using IS:875 P3 for wind loads (K1 =k3=1.0 and Vb=50m/sec) and IS :800 (2007) for design of mast shaft components. ANSI/TIA-222-G-2005,EC3 Part 7-1 and AS-3995 were used to check the design of other components.Based on an independent study by IITM it is certified that the designs submitted by M/s Maruthi Engineering for 120m guyed lattice masts are structurally adequate and satisfactory.
